Accidental Aesop: Sleep deprivation makes you a silly pony
Fridge Horror: If the Stealth Pun about steering clear was meant as one in-universe, it means castrated cattle exist.
Jerkass Woobie: Applejack's stubbornness and arrogance leads her to work herself into a disoriented wreck, causing a lot of collateral damage in the process. By the end of the episode her strain and symptoms actually become a bit unsettlingly realistic (if still humorous) and you end up feeling for her when it's reached a point she not just caves in to Twilight's offering, but outright begs for it.
Memetic Mutation: DashFace (a.k.a. the "SO AWESOME!" face, or Why Wub Woo, the overly cute face Rainbow Dash makes in her speech)
- Derpy's Fanon love of muffins came from this episode where she's one of three ponies to say "Muffiiiins!" during the, well, muffins scene.
