  • Fridge Brilliance: When Twilight considers giving up her own ticket so two of the others can go, she says that'll still leave three of her friends unhappy and imagines a crying Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Pinkie Pie, implying that Applejack and Fluttershy were the ones she was considering giving the tickets to. It makes a lot of sense when you consider Applejack has the most selfless reason for wanting to go and Fluttershy was the most polite about asking.
  • Harsher in Hindsight/Hilarious in Hindsight: Given how the "stallion of [her] dreams" turned out to be, it's easy to say that viewers will either laugh or pity Rarity when she's going off on a tangent with her Imagine Spot.
    • Not just Rarity. Knowing how the Grand Galloping Gala turns out does this for everyone's hopes for the Gala minus Twilight (whose dream isn't spelled out in this episode).
  • Most Wonderful Sound: Fluttershy singing
