It is a prequel to ''[[Monsters, Inc.]]'' with [[Billy Crystal]] and [[John Goodman]] returning as Mike and Sulley. [[Steve Buscemi]] and John Ratzenberger also returned as Randall and the Abominable Snowman from the first film. New cast members include [[Nathan Fillion]] as Johnny Worthington III, Charlie Day as Art, Alfred Molina as Professor Knight and Helen Mirren as Dean Hardscrabble. It is the first prequel made by [[Pixar]].
