Million Dollar Money Drop/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Padding: A good ten seconds of dead air usually elapsed between the announcement of the money dropping and the money actually dropping. For every answer. For every question.
  • What an Idiot!: The couple that got the Post-It Notes question, who during a news interview about the mistake thought FOX was going to give them the $800,000 they lost.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks: The general reaction among fans of the original to the American versions, although they, quite frankly, have a point. The set and music (both considered to be extremely good) were ditched for a bland, Deal or No Deal-esque set and generic game show music. Also, the game was changed needlessly, from adding the quick change, ditching a question, and messing with the time limits such. Even worse, it's no longer live and the models (not the contestants) move the money back.
