Little Witch Academia/Nightmare Fuel

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • In the original first short film, Sucy kills a Minatour-like monster by pouring one of her potions in its mouth. The creature then convulses as though it's going to explode... And then it does! Sort of. There's a Discretion Shot, but from what we hear and see next, the monster's flesh and bones liquefy and melt through the floor. Sucy casually carried that around in her POCKET?!
  • The Witch Hunts happened in their world too. Anyone who knows what went on during that period, knows why that's scary.
  • Professor Croix's "experiments". Name one of them that doesn't cross some moral line. An example is when she kidnaps and knocks out Akko, and probes her mind.
    • Another great example is during the episode where she's introduced, the fairies were going on strike, because they wanted more of a share of the Sorcerer's stone's energy. The professors were unwilling to accommodate any of the fairies' demands, so the fairies used "magical blocking boards" to cut off the witches from the sorcerer's stone. Croix appears and tells everyone of how her special inventions could conveniently solve all their problems (she literally sounds like a commercial almost the entire time she talks about it, but the professors turn her down, due to their policies against the use of technology. The strike continues to get more and more tense until finally, a fire fairy gets water tossed on it, and the blame is placed on the witches. The fairies go on a rampage against the witches who are powerless. The professors claim to give up and will give the fairies whatever they want, but the fairies continue to riot. Croix then sends her inventions out... Her inventions drain magic energy from all the fairies (in a manner that VERY MUCH looks like she was sapping their souls) and then uses the collected energy to revive the fire fairy. After that, the professors agree to let Croix set up her inventions and use all the tech she wanted... Once everything is quieted down, we see Croix alone with "a fairy". As it turns out, that specific fairy was a machine-like entity that she had created and used to manipulate ALL the events of the strike. Inciting the fairies? Her. Giving them anti-magic boards to cut off the witches? She gave them to them (and likely invented them too). Showing up with a perfectly convenient way to end the strike using HER machines? She clearly rehearsed her presentation. The Fire Fairy getting doused in water? She sent her "fairy drone" to do it! She even had said fairy drone lead the rest of the fairies into the room seconds later to make the other fairies think the witches had done it!
