Lily's Night Off

What can be said about—

Wait, we already used that. Frick.

Lily's Night Off is the 2018 sequel to Lily's Day Off, both games being made by Kyuppin. Like its predecessor, Lily's Night Off prides itself in its multiple storylines, all stemming from a single fateful night.

The plot is as follows: the protagonist bumps into pop star Lilypad Lily, and from there, Hilarity Ensues.

...except when it doesn't.

Oh, and did I mention the two new characters, Nym and Vicky? Well, Nym is a shy costume designer, Vicky is a cheerful dance choreographer, and both are part of the Lilypads (Lily's musical group).

And that's not all; the game has two more endings than the previous game (plus another four endings if you're willing to shell out some dough). For literally any other visual novel, this wouldn't exactly mean much...

...but Lily's Night Off, much like its prequel, isn't exactly your standard visual novel.

The endings range in ridiculousness from Lily being a Hikikomori to Lily being a cat-eared alien to the Lilypads being vampires... well, you never really know what you're gonna get with this game.

Once again, strap in, folks; we're in for a wild ride.

FOREWARNING: As with its prequel's page, the spoilers for this game are unmarked. Also, this page was made by someone who didn't buy the DLC, so if anyone could add in information related to it, that would be swell.

Tropes used in Lily's Night Off include:
  • Beach Episode: Night Off‍'‍s Downloadable Content takes place on a beach.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Lily, Nym, and Vicky do this after the player attains the Secret True Ending, thanking the player for playing the game and apologizing for the developer's "dark sense of humor".
  • Call Back: Mr. Chainsaw. Unlike in the previous game, it's actually used in one of the endings. On you. By Lily.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Again, Mr. Chainsaw. What did you expect, a dildo?
  • I Call It "Vera": Yet again, Mr. Chainsaw.
  • Multiple Choice Past: Like in the first game, the backstories of both Lily and the protagonist can vary depending on your choices. Lily could be a serial killer (Oh, how the turntables...), a cat-eared alien, a vampire, a Yandere, a Magical Girl, a bank robber, an actress, or your comatose wife.
  • Multiple Endings: As with its prequel, Lily's Night Off has multiple endings, depending on your choices. And they are just as weird as before, if not weirder.
    • There are sixteen endings available by default, three of them having one of the Lilypads (Lily, Nym, or Vicky) falling in love with you. A "True" ending is unlocked if you get all three of the romantic endings, and a "Secret True" ending is accessible if you have gotten all of the previous endings at least once each. There's also the Beach Episode DLC, which adds another four endings. All in all, assuming you're willing and able to pay for the DLC, you'll have access to a whopping TWENTY-TWO ENDINGS, six more than Day Off‍'‍s already impressive sixteen.
  • Serial Killer: In one route, Lily is this. She has a chainsaw (named "Mr. Chainsaw"). And you just happen to be her 100th victim. Lucky you.
  • Tsundere: Lily tends to be presented like this.
  • Yandere: As with the previous game, either you or Lily can become this depending on your choices.
