High Spirits/Trivia
- Executive Meddling: Jordan, who wrote and directed the film, intended it to be more serious. There was more scenes with Liam Neeson, and the ghosts were more involved in the plot, but the studio had no idea how to market it and recut it against Jordan's wishes. A shorter version of this cut was released in Japan.
- Hey, It's That Guy!: Lawrence of Arabia runs a hotel, and the guests include Carey Mahoney, Ellen Griswold, that guy from Sex, Lies, and Videotape and the Bride of Chucky (or, if you prefer, the voice of Bonnie Swanson). Not only that, two of the ghosts are the mermaid from Splash (or Elle Driver from Kill Bill to younger viewers) and Qui-Gon Jinn. Slightly less recognizable is Connie Booth, most recognized as many of the female characters on Monty Python's Flying Circus and Polly Sherman on Fawlty Towers.
