Fallout 76 2018 RPG First Person Shooter developed and published by Bethesda. It's serves as a prequel to the main Fallout series as a whole taking place in the year 2102. It's the first Fallout game with online multiplayer and lacks a single player campaign though there is a story. The player is a resident of Vault 76 and is tasked by the vault overseer with repopulating the wasteland which is in ruins due to a nuclear war.
Tropes used in Fallout 76 include:
- First Person Ghost As with all Fallout games so far you can't see your body when you look down, just your arms.
- Mutants There are plenty of mutants to fight in the wasteland such as the aptly named supermutants which are humans that got affected by Forced Evolutionary Virus.
- Nuclear War A nuclear war has ravaged the planet and the members of the Vault-Tec vaults are tasked with fixing and repopulating it.
- Wide Open Sandbox There are lots of things to do in the wasteland other than the main quest such as side quests, fighting enemies in general or just exploring.
