Elemental Goddess is a Fanime and Sailor Moon Fan Film created by YouTube user diamant88. The show is about 5 girls who have been given special rings by Mandana, the Goddess (in name only, it seems) of Virtue/Goodness, in order to transform and save the planet from the evil (partly) alien group known as the "Demonic 5", who are wrecking havoc in a nameless Middle Eastern country. Basically, it's your standard Magical Girl fare with schizophrenic plots and the potential for a lot of racial faux pas and awkward looking animation.

This fanime contains examples of:

• Adult Child: Arguably Mandana, who's not much more mature than the teenagers of the cast.
• Aerith and Bob: Jessica, Tina, Loretta, Stephanie...Mandana, Maryam...
• Anachronic Order: Somewhat. The "Special Episode", which was uploaded smack-dab in the middle of the second episode, reportedly takes place between the fourth and fifth episodes. Only two full episodes were ever finished.
• Animation Bump: During transformation sequences and attacks...because they were traced.

• Blind Idiot Translation: the deleted Wikipedia article gives "Chikara no Ikari" as the Japanese title for the first episode, "Power of Anger". The words are in the wrong order - it should be "Ikari no Chikara".

• Good Is Not Nice: Mandana, Queen of Goodness, is rude and bitchy towards others (most of the time it's uncalled for), is immature as her teenage charges, opted to run away from a restaurant when she saw she had no money as opposed to work off the bill or something (and we never do find out if she paid them back later), and is just a rude woman in general.
• Hair Flip: Gypsy does this. In the video "Gypsy's Revelation," it's this that clues Stephanie and Susan as to who the random girl approaching them is.
• Hey, It's That Voice!: Hey, that's Megami33 in Episode 2! And as the narrator of the Very Special Episode!
• I Do Not Own: "REMARK: Sailor Moon-fanmade! That means there's no originality in it! It's just for entertaining and NOTHING else."
• Informed Ability: According to the wiki, Jessica has "one of the purest hearts." You would never come to that conclusion by watching her.
• Informed Flaw: Mandana says that Jessica always becomes "incredibly arrogant" after winning a battle. Thing is, we only saw her win one battle before. However, given how there's about two episodes made so far, it might not be the case.

Chip: "Yeah, like that one time. That one time ever."

• Lazy Artist: A confusing case. Starts off badly, with lots of Off-Model animation. Then, there's a huge improvement in quality halfway through episode two. Then, the animator took a year-long hiatus, and announced he didn't have time to animate. From now on, episodes will use still shots.

• Mentor Occupational Hazard: Mandana's mentor from her Origin Story gets killed at the start of episode 3.
• Mood Whiplash: In the special episode, the Token Trio are once again bickering amongst themselves, the Big Bad acting thoroughly embarrassed, zany music is playing...and then he ties all three girls to a tree and sets it--oh, no, the area around them on fire, and the mood instantly sobers.
  • Hmm, this seems like a pretty unremarkable Magical Girl Fanime...wait, are they talking about Islamic fundamentalism?
• Most Fanfic Writers Are Girls: Averted. Would you actually believe the creator is a guy?
• MST/Retsupurae: Done by Chip Cheezum and General Ironicus here, here, and here.
• Mukokuseki: All of the characters, except for the villains, look Caucasian... even through the show takes place in the Middle East. (The only indication of this is the Farsi on some of the buildings, the mosque that Jessica falls into in Episode 2, a nearly throw away mention of Mt. Damavand (an active volcano and the tallest mountain in Iran), and the abayas that only the 2 diehard (and evil) female Muslim characters wear. Otherwise, the city just looks like a traced version of Azabu Juuban.)
• My God, What Have I Done?: Played for Laughs, Of the "What have I created" side, uttered by Dark Shadow after he sees the Fundamentalist Scouts bickering. Complete with Face Palm.
• My Name Is Not Durwood: Thank to the voice actors. In the first episode, Mandana's name is pronounced a different way each time--nobody calls attention to it and diamant88 doesn't even notice.
• Nothing Can Stop Us Now
• Old Shame: The special episode, which diamant88 has taken off of Youtube along with the MSTed version via a false DMCA. (Along with the other MSTed episodes. But that was more of a backlash against the show being mocked.) Both can still be seen on other sites, however.
• Off-Model: It's pretty easy to tell which scenes were drawn from scratch and which are just recolors of scenes from Sailor Moon or other Magical Girl shows.
  • The Super Transformations seem to be independent of screenshots.
• Original Character: Everyone on the show.
• Panty Shot: Mandana gets one in the second episode, and Jessica gets one in her Super Transformation.
• Plagiarism: As previously mentioned, about 50% of the animation is traced directly from Sailor Moon. Incredibly obvious when traced footage is shown side-by-side with the rest of the footage.
• Power Crystal: The villains know where it is. But they don't just go and get it because they need to kill the goddesses, who don't seem to know about it but will try to stop them anyway, first.
• Recycled IN SPACE!: Sailor Moon IN AN UNIDENTIFIED MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRY!
• Rich Bitch: Monique is an attempt at one, anyway.

• Secret Keeper: Apparently Shirin is this for Jessica. One has to wonder what the point is, though, due to the below trope.
• Secret Public Identity: All of the goddesses have titles (e.g. "Queen/Goddess of Fire", "Queen/Goddess of Virtue", etc.), but they just go by their first names in battle.
• Seer: Mandana's childhood friend, Maryam, whom Mandana never sees again after she accepts the call, so we probably wouldn't have seen her again either.
• Sixth Ranger: Amrita, a fact that is spoiled in the opening theme. She doesn't appear when the girls are shown in uniform, but on a few occasions is seen wearing a "princess" dress and holding a staff.
  • The Wiki implies that another girl would appear as well, using the power of air. But that's the only information we ever got.
• That Makes Me Feel Angry: Jessica after being mocked by Mandana.
• The Dragon: Queen Sheeva, who is second banana to the "Grand Master".
• Token Trio: The Very Special Episode (see below) features a trio of villains that consists of a Christian, a Jew, and a Muslim.

• Very Special Episode: This short, which is about religious fundamentalists. Yes.

• Worthy Opponent: The Demonic 5 seem to think Mandana as this.
• Yank the Dog's Chain: In episode 2, Mandana wins three-million dollars in the lottery, but her winning ticket gets soaked and the ink blurs so no one can read the numbers.
• You Have Failed Me: Whenever a Monster of the Week is defeated, four vines come from the ground, grabs said monster, a pit pops out from the bottom and there is a large sign saying "Game Over". The vines then drag the monster to what might be hell.
  • But wait...the Monster of the Week is a demon, and Miss Cheyenne remarks in episode 2 that demons come from Hell (duh), so if the Monster of the Week is dragged back to Hell...they're just being sent back home. Pretty tame, far as punishments go.
