Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | The Dropkick Murphys are a well known Celtic Punk band from Quincy, Massachusetts. They have released six studio albums since their founding, gaining a fair amount of popularity for their song "Shipping Up To Boston", which was featured in the 2006 film The Departed - as well as many other sources. This is interesting, as the lyrics were originally by Woody Guthrie, he just never finished it before he died (it wasn't the first time the band had covered an unrecorded Guthrie song, either. They covered his "Gonna Be A Blackout Tonight" on their 2003 album Blackout) |
