Dracula the Undead/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Badass Decay: It’s hard to imagine the Jonathan of this book hunting his foe across Europe with a Kukri blade.
  • Complete Monster: Make an educated guess. Wrong. Dracula himself undergoes rapid Villain Decay towards the end and starts petting dogs with alarming regularity. Beherit, however, is not portrayed as anything but pure evil incarnate.
  • Evil Is Sexy: The Count uses supernatural ‘animal magnetism’ against Mina, and Elena eventually does something similar with Jonathan. Beherit is described as beautiful and André Kovacs seems to love him, although Mina finds his particular brand of beauty repulsive. The only non-sexy vampire out there is Kovacs, who is also the least evil.
  • Villain Decay: Dracula goes through some rapid decay in the last chapter, presumably to hammer home how much worse Beherit is.
