These things about Dinokid are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.
- Designated Hero: Invoked and Played for Laughs. The kid heroes show little, if any, selfless motivations, and are prone to Comedic Sociopathy a lot of the time.
- Jerkass Woobie: Terrícola (formerly Matías) starts out as an unlikable bully, but later it's revealed she's a Transgender girl forced to be in the closet by her Abusive Parents, and her bully behavior was her trying to emulate how she thought boys acted so no one would pick on her. Thankfully, she sheds the "Jerkass" part once she befriends the kids and Cirene gives her her shapeshifting abilities so she could live as a girl at last.
- LGBT Fanbase: David Ramírez had already this (helped by being a gay man in real life), but it's especially strong here due to one of the main kid heroes (Terrícola) being a Transgender girl, with her Coming Out Story handling the subject matter tastefully without sacrificing the series' trademark comedy.
- Strangled by the Red String: There was no indication of Insect Girl having feelings for Mamífero Boy (or anyone else, for that matter) before kissing him over a misunderstanding, later going out with each other. Given this is a comedy, it's most likely intentional.
- Tough Act to Follow: While a great comic in its own right, it's still greatly overshadowed by it's predecessor Minimonsters, which is widely considered a Cult Classic.
