You would not believe what I've been through tonight! —Mr. Potato Head from Toy Story 3

  • But I think the award goes to Scrat. Nothing ever goes the poor guy's way. He exists only for the purpose of being a butt-monkey -- er, squirrel. Thing.
    • Butt-Saber-Toothed-Squirrel.
  • the Majority of Sid's problems are self-imposed, either through not being properly careful, or through having delusions of grandeur.
• The slightly oddball koala Nigel (voiced by Eddie Izzard) from Disney's The Wild, Nigel never gets any respect and gets made fun by some of the animals at the zoo because he's a cute, furry koala bear- this is mainly because of a doll of him that is sold in the zoo shop and says... "I'm so cuddly I like you!" when someone pulls his string.
• Beast Boy From Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo, He's constantly punched and beaten. Most of it comes from Raven, from beginning to end.
• M-O from WALL-E.
  • M-O has it easy compared to BURN-E.
• Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast. This is especially evident in the Updated Rerelease, where his entire role in the added musical number seems to consist of nothing but him being picked on.
  • Also there's Gaston's loyal sidekick Lefou. Gaston uses him as a punching bag ever so often.
    • Heck, Lefou even means "the daft," "the crazy", "the demented" or "the fool".
• Rodney Dangerfield. He says so himself: "I get no respect. No respect at all." It's even the tagline of the Rover Dangerfield movie poster. "The dog who gets no respect."
• It would seem that pretty much the entire universe started to completely hate Percy the pug as soon as he landed in America. He's quite frequently tripping, falling from high heights, or smashing into things, all because he happens to be the villain's dog at least before he switches owners. However, no one likes torturing him more than Meeko the raccoon. Whenever Percy has the chance to eat something, Meeko is always there to snatch it away from him. On one occasion, after he hordes a pile of bones intended for the two of them to share, Meeko offers a single bone to Percy. Then he breaks it and offers him a smaller piece, before finally eating it just as Percy was about to grab it. What a bastard.
• Milo from Atlantis: The Lost Empire at least until he Took a Level in Badass, saved Atlantis, and got the girl.
• Banzai the hyena and his cactus butt.
  • Nuka from the second film arguably qualifies. Scrawny, neurotic, and high-strung, with barely any mane on his neck, he's The Unfavorite of Zira's children. As a result, he is subject to constant abuse from his mother, both physical and emotional, and his siblings make no effort to stand up for him. Despite this, (or perhaps because of this) he constantly tries to gain his mother's approval, and it ends up killing him. Only then does she come to her senses.
  • Zazu as well - Simba's antics as a cub frequently involve him getting hurt. He is even used as target practice for Simba's first pouncing lesson. Of course, his Butt Monkey status is taken Up to Eleven after Scar takes the helm.
• Jeremy in The Secret of NIMH. Even sweet Mrs Brisby wants a restraining order from him.
• Captain Hook from Peter Pan.
• The title character of Chicken Little, he’s been treated like the town's village idiot after thinking that the sky was falling, gets bullied by Foxy Loxy, and worse, gets neglected by his own father.
• Bagheera and Kaa from The Jungle Book.
• Chief from The Fox and the Hound, he keeps failing at catching Tod and has Copper get all the intention from their master once Copper grows older and becomes a full time hunting dog.
  • Dinky and Boomer come in as runner ups as well, though they're more like Chew Toys rather than just butt monkeys.
• Edgar from The Aristocats.
• Taken Up to Eleven and played dramatically with the titular character from Dumbo who gets made fun of because of his big ears, loses his mother, and gets made into a clown.
• Sir Hiss from Disney's Robin Hood.
• Bernard and Mr. Snoops from The Rescuers.
• Jasper and Horace are this to Cruella DeVill on 101 Dalmatians.
• Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc..
• Pain and Panic from Disney's Hercules.
  • Philoctetes too.
• Disney's Winnie the Pooh gives us the gloomy donkey; Eeyore, who usually gets caught in the other characters shenanigans and just wants to be left alone.
  • Then there's Rabbit, who's luck is probably much worse than Eeyore's.
• Fa Mulan from Mulan before taking a level in Badass.
• Lawrence from Disney's Princess and the Frog.
• The Madagascar franchise has the neurotic, safety freak giraffe, Melman, he keeps getting his head stuck in numerous things.
  • Alex was this during the first film as well right after Marty escaped the Central Park Zoo and has a series of misfortune events happen to him, he got beaten up by an angry old lady while looking for Marty, got kicked in the crotch by the same woman, passed out by a tranquilizer dart, twice, got shipped to Kenya along with his friends, falls off the ship into the ocean while still in his crate, gets washed ashore on Madagascar with his friends, gets thwacked by a branch, steps on a thorny vine, gets tangled in a spider web, crashes into a coconut tree, has the same coconut tree fall down on him, has a spider crawl up his back, gets beaten by a stick from Gloria, lands face first into the sand, gets hit by a coconut, tumbles down a hill with rocks, flowers, and cactuses, has a cactus stuck to his backside, falls down a cliff into a river, and falls down a waterfall. The poor guy can't seem to take a break, thankfully, his luck got better in later sequels.
  • Pretty much every character from the spinoff show; The Penguins of Madagascar, especially Mort, Maurice, Kowalski, Private, and even Skipper himself.
