Bernard Cornwell (1944 - ) is a British author of Historical Fiction, often about adventures in wartime.

He is most famous for the Sharpe novels, chiefly set during the Napoleonic Wars, which were adapted into a television movie series starring Sean Bean as Lt. Richard Sharpe.
