Apparently, this is the wing of a hostile alien force that's scouting out this sector for likely worlds to invade. For 'likely' read 'soft and vulnerable.' Our task is to make sure they either don't leave here, or they leave convinced that we are neither soft nor vulnerable and way too much trouble to invade.
