- And the Fandom Rejoiced - As of 7/20, Idolm@ster 2 has been announced for a port to the Play Station 3. To the joy of many Western and non-Xbox owning Japanese fans.
- Unique to the Play Station 3 version, after completing your first run there's an extra RGKM story that takes place post-game where each of the girls + Ritsuko have a route and ending.
- Game Breaker - Several amulets. Awanko, Rinkamo and Nikuwan (for rate slow appeal rate decrease), Sugamo and Mushaharu (for high voltage gain) are the most used ones.
- Pandering to the Base - The advertisements since the fans' massive tantrum over Ryuugukomachi and Jupiter have placed a lot of emphasis on the fact that the RGKM girls can still join your idol unit onstage for productions that need five girls; meanwhile, those Base Breaker boys have dropped off the radar almost entirely.
- Ruined FOREVER - Not only will Ritsuko, Iori, Azusa, and Ami not be available for production in The Idolmaster 2, the game will be also adding male idols that aren't even traps. Cue the rage.
- The missing girls are available, as has been seen from PV 2 and several of the official website's pictures. They just aren't available from the start because the four of them created their own successful idol group during the timeskip. The game seems to be setting them up as The Rival if anything else.
- Not quite; so far, it looks like they'll only be available as backup dancers. And since they cannot be directly produced, the player won't be able to progress down their story routes like they could in the first game... well, fans of the missing girls have a reason to be slightly put off.
- Unfortunately, at least some of them are set up as The Rival, which you need to beat.
- Although the PS3 version may fix this with a shorter story route featuring the Ryuugu Komachi which will be available once you beat the game once.
