• I Knew It!: Some people saw the somewhat unorthodox Luke, I Am Your Father twist coming. Others came close by believing the two characters to be brothers or connected in some other way.
• Name's the Same: No, Kratos is not Kratos from God of War. The fact that he came first should make that more obvious.
  • Coincidentally, this Kratos can obtain the title "War God".
  • Though while the spelling is the same, they are pronounced quite differently. (Krah-tos vs Kray-tos)

• No Export for You:
  • Averted after ten years: The PS2 release of Tales of Symphonia was bundled with Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for the PS3, complete with a graphical update, in the "Tales of Symphonia Chronicles" two-pack for North America and Europe.
  • None of the OVAs have been released outside of Japan. Fortunately, the fans have translated them.
• The Other Darrin: Brian Beacock is the new English voice post-first game, with intense debate resulting. Popular opinion seems to be that, while Beacock did a good job, Scott Menville's hot-headed approach just suits our Idiot Hero Lloyd better. Also a rare example of this actually working to the story's advantage. It's a plot point that a Lloyd imposter is walking around in Dawn of the New World. Had Menville returned, it would've been blazingly obvious which of them was fake.
