Selena Marie Gomez (born July 22, 1992) is a Teen Idol best known for playing Alex Russo on the Disney Channel Kid Com Wizards of Waverly Place. She has also starred in Another Cinderella Story, Princess Protection Program, Ramona and Beezus, Monte Carlo, Hotel Transylvania, Spring Breakers and The Getaway.

She's a singer (2009-present), actor (2002-present) and businesswoman (2008-present).

Like Miley Cyrus, Disney has built an entire franchise around Selena. She has even branched out into music by starting her own band, Selena Gomez & The Scene. Their first album, Kiss & Tell, has been certified gold. The follow-up album, A Year Without Rain was released on September 21, 2010. When The Sun Goes Down was released on June 28, 2011. The band being on hiatus since 2012, she is focusing on her solo career.
