Cinderella 4x4. All begins with desire (Золушка 4x4. Всё начинается с желаний) is a 2008 Live Action Adaptation of "Cinderella" by Yuri Morozov and Alexander Barshak. It stars Darya Melnikova as Dasha, a girl who lives with her little sister and her father, who is an auto mechanic. Dasha likes dreams and stories, and one evening she tells one to her sister, in which the places and people they know have turned into fairy tales. So Dasha becomes Cinderella, her sister becomes Thumbelina, her father becomes the king, and so forth. Their mother dies, and their father marries a wicked stepmother, who brings wicked stepsisters. Their father wants the girls to get married. But as they all live in a garage, instead of throwing a ball, their father holds a race. At the race, Cinderella meets a prince, but it does not work out. Dasha's dream ends, and she finds that the real world is not so bad. Also, she has met a real-life prince.

The closest Western equivalent would be Mirror Mask.
