American character actor best known for his "quirky" roles as "Reverend" Jim Ignatowski on the 1970's TV series Taxi, Dr. Emmett L. Brown in the Back to The Future trilogy, and Uncle Fester in The Addams Family theatrical films. Also played the evil Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
