Choco Mimi is a manga series by Konami Sonoda. It follows the lives of two Japanese middle school students, Choco Sakurai and Mimi Nekota, as well as their friends, Ando "Andrew" Ryunosuke, Koumei "Mikachin" Mikami, Mumu Momoyama and Bambi Mori. Other characters include Mr. Take (Choco and Mimi's strict teacher), Choco's younger brothers, Jin and Rai, and Mikami's younger sister, Aoi. The manga consists of short stories about the girls' daily lives. It is also a TV drama(episode 1 here).

This series has examples of:

• Nightmare Fuel: In-universe: Choco and Ando's drawings tend to freak out the other characters. Choco once draws a freaky looking rabbit on top of her test to calm herself down, only for it to scare Mr Take. Later, Choco and Ando decorate the flyers for the class cafe with creepy pictures of Picho(with 4 legs) and Huckleberry. Upon seeing the flyers, Mikachin asks Mumu if their class is doing a haunted house.
• Annoying Younger Sibling: Jin Sakurai, to some extent.
• Art Evolution: subtle, but it's there.
• Belligerent Sexual Tension: Mimi and Mumu, definitely.
• Cloudcuckoolander: All the cast occasionally, but most frequently Mikachin.
• Cuteness Proximity: Ando is frequently prone to this.
• Dude Looks Like a Lady: Mumu is way better at this than Vince.
• Embarrassing First Name: Choco's real name is Chiyoko, which she really does not like.
• Hair Color Dissonance: Choco's hair is sometimes coloured orange, and other times it is coloured blonde. So is it blonde or orange?
• Informed Attribute: Mikami's profile often says that he can play saxophone, but he has yet to be shown actually playing it.
• Kawaiiko: Mimi
• Ridiculously Cute Critter: Picho, Huckleberry and Chiffon.
• Shorttank: Bambi
• Spoiled Brat: Mumu
• Spoiled Sweet: Mimi
• Yonkoma: Most of the manga is in this format, but some of the more serious stories are in regular manga format.
• You Gotta Have Blue Hair: Mimi, who actually has blue hair.
