This one deals with webcomics which rely heavily on Life Embellished, Magic Realism, Mundane Fantastic, or Planet Eris. The main difference between these and more traditional, gag-based webcomics is that the random sci-fi and fantasy elements usually become established parts of continuity, and in order for newer strips to make sense it is necessary to have read the older ones. Many of these end up attempting Cerebus Syndrome. |
