The Boy Detective Club (aka Fiend with Twenty Faces series) was part of the "Trickster" series written by Edogawa Ranpo. The Boy Detectives Club is run and led by Kogorō Akechi (who was a recurring character starring in many of Ranpo's other works); he and his friends utilize their talents to solve many cases in 2030 Japan. One day, Yoshio Kobayashi, who cannot die because of his exposure to "Unidentifiable Mist", was found by Kensuke Hanasaki, who wants to recruit him to the BDC.
