I took it out because it was factually inaccurate in several points, and they were too long to go into with clarifying edits. The key parts are that there actually was a reason to doubt Buffy's plan -- going back to the same place, with the same forces, using the same approach, and with the same objective, where you already lost once, sounds like a great recipe for losing the same way again. Also, they didn't demand Buffy leave. ISTR that they demanded Buffy step down as leader, and Buffy then came back with 'I refuse to accept a subordinate position, I would rather walk', at which point their reply was 'So go, then.'
