* Aborted Arc: "The Duck Knight Returns!" culminates in a suspenseful moment at the end wherein the character of Jim Starling transforms into this series' Negaduck. Nonetheless, the character in question does not make any further appearances in the series, not even "Let's Get Dangerous".
* Affably Evil: Unlike other villains on this show, Mark Beaks is actually surprisingly affable for a villain.
* Adaptational Angst Upgrade: In the original show, the triplet's mother is never really shown or mentioned. Here, not only is she acknowledged, but it's a huge plotline that causes tons of angst both before and after she comes back.
* Adaptation Name Change: Zig-zagged. Fenton still has Crackshell as a last name but it's hyphenated with Cabrera.
** His mother isn't just Ms. Crackshell anymore, she's named María Antonia Magdalena Aldonsa Cabrera. Strangely, she no longer has Crackshell as her last name despite her son having it.
*Action Mom: Della Duck, a badass mom who speak majority of the boys' lives battling the inhabitants of the moon, trying to get back to her family.
*Adaptational Attractiveness: Fenton's mother goes from a couch potato with rollers in her hair to a stunning middle-aged cop.
* Affably Evil: Unlike other villains on this show, Mark Beaks is actually surprisingly affable for a villain.
* All That Glitters: Overall, subverted. Scrooge and Gyro have found many uses for gold in the miraculous technology they use. Which makes a lot of sense, actually - Scrooge is so familiar with the stuff, he's naturally done quite a bit of experimenting with it.
* Averse Adept: Gladstone may rely on his good luck, but he hates it when he keeps winning every game in the Macaw casino. He gets annoyed when a casino attendant tells him he won two cars. It's because .
* Big Bad: Magica De Spel is this for Season 1. This is likely the reason why Scrooge McDuck assumes that she's the leader of the group of villains banded together against him, when it's actually Glomgold.
* Born Lucky: Gladstone, as usual, though it doesn't turn out so lucky for him when he's targeted by a luck-sucking demon for this reason.
* Born Unlucky: Donald, as usual, though it turns out not to be so unlucky for him when he persuades a luck-sucking demon to try feasting on his luck.
* Brought Down To Badass: After being defeated at the end of Season 1, Magica De Spel is no longer such a threat. But she's still strong enough to easily subdue the ghost butler.
* The Comically Serious: General Lunaris and his Insistent Terminology that the moon is a planet, even though it's a dwarf planet at the most.
* Crazy Prepared: General Lunaris designed his invasion scheme to specifically counter Scrooge McDuck... but he never anticipated that Scrooge would go to Glomgold of all people for help.
*Create Your Own Villain: In trying to recreate his own success story, Scrooge angers a tiny Glomgold, thus making him devote his life to being better than him.
* Crippling Overspecialization: General Lunaris prepared himself to deal with Scrooge McDuck... but not Glomgold.
* Good Counterpart: Eventually, Lena becomes one to Magica De Spel.
*Fangirl: Webby towards the triplets, Donald and anything that has to do with Scourge.
* Good Counterpart: Eventually, Lena becomes one to Magica De Spel.
* Hypercompetent Sidekick: Magica De Spel is assumed to be the leader of the group of villains that band together to defeat Scrooge McDuck for this reason.
* It's Personal: While it's been shown in previous works that Donald Duck does get angry with his nephews from time and time, it's also shown that he does indeed care for them. When he finds out Lunaris's intention with the three of them, Donald doesn't take it well.
* Laughably Evil: Glomgold. He's actually an excellent choice to fight Lunaris, however.
* Logical Weakness: Theoretically, a sorceress would be the gang of villains' best solution to fighting a poltergeist...and she is.
* One-Way Entrance: In "The Impossible Summit of Mt. Neverrest!", Scrooge, two of his nephews, and Webby went into a cave for shelter. They turn around to see the entrance was sealed with a boulder.
*Race Lift: In the original show, Fenton and his mother don't seem to have a particular race. However, in the reboot, they both are latinx.
*Reality Ensues: In trying to recreate his own success story, Scrooge finds out the hard way that what works for someone doesn't necessarily work for others.
**At the end of 'Timephoon', it's expected Louie's expecting to be Easily Forgiven like he always is, and everyone actually seems to be on board with it...all except Della. Yeah, a mother whose already spent majority of children's lives out of said lives isn't going to take almost losing them again well. Louie gets a scalding scolding from his mother about not thinking about consequences, though he does throw a line back at her.
